Sue Parkins

Sue Parkins is a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to guiding her clients on their journey toward healing and personal growth. With a deep understanding of the courage it takes to seek counseling, she creates a supportive environment where clients feel validated, encouraged, and challenged to work towards their unique goals. Sue specializes in helping individuals who have endured childhood sexual abuse, as well as providing marital and pre-marital counseling, drawing upon her expertise as a Certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator. She adeptly assists clients in navigating grief and loss, anger, depression, anxiety, codependency, and significant life transitions. While rooted in her Christian faith, Sue's therapeutic approach is inclusive and beneficial for individuals of all backgrounds. She works with individuals, couples, and groups, leveraging modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower her clients. Sue is committed to helping both men and women understand and break free from the lingering effects of childhood trauma, fostering enhanced relationship skills and a renewed sense of freedom from shame, betrayal, and powerlessness.
