Sarah Burney

Sarah Burney is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor (CEDS-S). With credentials as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and Certified Neuro Specialist, she is deeply committed to understanding the complexities of the human psyche and fostering mental health. Sarah specializes in treating a wide range of challenges, including eating disorders, acute and complex trauma, substance abuse, and anxiety disorders. Her practice offers individual, family, and couples therapy, complemented by a concierge division for personalized care. With nearly a decade of experience in intensive therapy at both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers for eating disorders, as well as in mental health and substance abuse facilities, Sarah has also served as the director of an adult eating disorder residential treatment center for three years. Utilizing a humanistic and psychoanalytic therapeutic approach, she incorporates various evidence-based interventions into her sessions. Sarah's unique blend of compassion, authenticity, and humor creates a safe and nurturing environment for her clients, where they are both supported and gently challenged to pursue their personal goals.
