Katie James

Katie James is an accomplished Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who collaborates with Ron C Steele & Associates to provide trauma-informed, client-centered services for individuals of all ages, races, gender identities, religions, sexual orientations, and ability statuses. With a rich background as an elementary school counselor, college clinic counselor, and a STRTP clinician serving youth in foster care, she is also an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and a supportive military spouse. Katie’s primary goal is to come alongside all clients to help them reach their goals and navigate life's many challenges. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to fit each client’s unique needs, utilizing a variety of modalities beyond traditional talk therapy, including animal-assisted therapy, equine therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. At Ron C Steele & Associates, the team strives to create a judgment-free zone where clients can feel safe to express their authentic selves. Katie aims to foster a compassionate atmosphere to develop a strong partnership with her clients, guiding them toward achieving their mental health goals.
