Thomas Paderna, a registered psychological assistant with a Master’s degree, understands that we are all navigating through various challenges in life. He recognizes that feeling stuck and overwhelmed may stem from issues related to relationships—whether it's communication with a partner, facing significant life decisions, or dealing with unforeseen circumstances. Sometimes, the long-standing problems that seemed manageable can become daunting, and that is when seeking support is essential. Thomas believes that being human is intrinsically tied to our relationships, be it with family, partners, or oneself. His valuable experience as an intern at the Sacramento VA has equipped him with specialized skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety, mindfulness techniques, grief therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. He has earned provider certification for Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), recognized as the gold standard for treating PTSD and trauma. Additionally, he offers Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) aimed at fostering resilience and reducing stress. Thomas is passionate about helping individuals uncover their potential to live fulfilling lives despite life’s trials. In collaboration with the Relationship Therapy Center, he provides expert guidance to help clients heal themselves and their relationships.
