Elizabeth Lauro

Elizabeth Lauro is a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist (MS, LMFT) dedicated to meeting clients where they are. With a focus on collaboration, she works closely with individuals and couples to help them navigate their therapeutic journeys. Understanding that seeking therapy can be anxiety-provoking for many, Elizabeth strives to create a warm and supportive environment that addresses the unique issues that matter to each client. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Sociology and later earned her Masters in Evidence Based Social Intervention from Oxford University. Elizabeth furthered her education by obtaining her Masters in Clinical Psychology from SF State, ultimately becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in June of 2017. Her approach is primarily psychodynamic, yet she believes that therapy should be tailored to meet the diverse needs of her clients. With significant experience in trauma-focused therapy, Elizabeth emphasizes the importance of empathy while also providing meaningful and direct feedback to facilitate growth and healing. She specializes in helping children, teens, and adults cope with challenges such as depression, grief, and the complexities of relationships.
