Megan Murphy

Megan Murphy, a licensed professional clinical counselor (LMHC, LPCC), believes in the transformative power of a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for deep and lasting change. She guides clients in understanding their internal belief systems, established long ago, and helps them navigate towards a present where change and healing are attainable. Through compassion and self-acceptance, Megan empowers individuals to cultivate lives filled with increased freedom and authenticity. She holds a Master's Degree from NYU, along with certifications in Positive Psychology and Coaching (also from NYU). As a dedicated student of Buddhist studies and meditation, she possesses specialized knowledge in 12 Step Recovery. At her group practice, Expansive Therapy, the focus is inclusive, supporting clients of all gender and sexual identities. Although clients may work with a specific therapist, the practice employs a collaborative group approach, ensuring behind-the-scenes teamwork. Megan and her team are committed to simplifying the process for insurance clients, automating paperwork and coordinating with insurance companies to secure the best possible copay once deductibles are met.
