At JFCS East Bay in Berkeley, CA, we are dedicated to supporting low-income Holocaust survivors who continue to face the challenges of aging and financial hardship. Our mission is to alleviate the lingering effects of the Holocaust by offering vital financial assistance that directly addresses the needs of these vulnerable individuals. Many survivors, who lost family support during those tragic years, struggle to cover essential expenses such as dental care, hearing aids, medication, glasses, food, and transportation. With approximately 25 percent of Holocaust survivors living in poverty, our program is committed to providing the necessary resources to enhance their quality of life and ensure they receive the dignity and care they deserve in their later years. We invite survivors in our community to reach out to us for assistance and support.
