Senior Center

In the heart of Bakersfield, CA, the North of the River Recreation and Park District warmly welcomes seniors aged 60 and over to engage in enriching activities at the Rasmussen Senior Center and Greenacres Community Center. Our dedicated program fosters community through a diverse range of offerings, including exercise and fitness classes, skills training, and a convenient lunch service available Monday through Friday. Every day, over a hundred seniors gather to enjoy activities that range from bingo to billiards, painting, and quilting, filled with opportunities for social connection and creativity. Our centers are alive with the sounds of live music and dancing, providing a joyful atmosphere for all participants.
