In Bakersfield, CA, Meals on Wheels operates through the North of the River Recreation and Park District, dedicated to delivering hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors who need them most. Recognizing the increasing demand for food assistance, we strive to ensure that no senior goes hungry, even as we currently face a waiting list. While we suggest a donation of $2 per meal, we wholeheartedly welcome all seniors, regardless of their ability to pay, reflecting our commitment to compassion and community care. Our mission is to provide essential emergency food services to our cherished seniors, affirming their dignity and well-being one meal at a time.
