Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

The Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Waddell, AZ, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income seniors by providing them with access to fresh, nutritious, and locally grown produce. Through our program, eligible seniors can receive valuable resources in the form of SFMNP vouchers that can be redeemed for high-quality fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs at authorized farmers markets and roadside stands. Additionally, we offer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes as an alternative to vouchers. Each year, qualifying seniors may receive a booklet containing up to six vouchers, or the option of three CSA boxes, to ensure they have the nourishment they need. While SFMNP vouchers are typically distributed at authorized locations starting February 1st, the distribution schedule may vary based on seasonal product availability. We are committed to supporting seniors in our community by facilitating access to healthy food options.
