Danielle Derrick

Danielle Derrick, the founder of Arizona Connections Play Therapy, is passionate about working with children aged three to twelve through the transformative power of play therapy. She believes that play is the language of children, facilitating their self-discovery through meaningful interactions with their caregivers. In her sessions, Danielle expertly utilizes a variety of structured games and nurturing activities to help families explore and understand their children's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors on a deeper level. With a focus on addressing trauma and providing support in family conflict, Danielle is a dedicated Foundational Level Theraplay Practitioner and a Certified EMDR therapist. She often integrates sand tray and art activities into her therapeutic approach to enrich the experiences of her young clients. Additionally, she offers Christian counseling upon request, ensuring a holistic view of care. Beyond her professional life, Danielle is a devoted wife since 2014 and is a loving pet parent to three rescue dogs. A true community member, she actively participates in her church's children's ministry and enjoys singing in the choir, along with indulging in workouts, board games, and Pokemon battles.
