Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

The Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Surprise, AZ, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income seniors by providing access to fresh, nutritious, unprepared, locally grown produce, honey, and herbs. Through our annual program, eligible seniors can receive SFMNP vouchers that can be redeemed at authorized farmers markets and roadside stands, or opt for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes as an alternative. Each year, qualifying seniors have the opportunity to obtain a booklet with up to six SFMNP vouchers or three CSA boxes, ensuring they can enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables. Distribution typically begins on February 1st, and while the exact number of vouchers or boxes available may fluctuate based on funding, our commitment to supporting the nutrition needs of seniors remains steadfast.
