Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

The Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Sun City, AZ, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of low-income seniors by providing access to fresh, nutritious, locally grown produce, including fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs. Through our annual program, qualifying seniors receive essential resources in the form of SFMNP vouchers, allowing them to shop at farmers markets and roadside stands, as well as Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes for their dining needs. Once a year, eligible seniors can obtain a booklet containing up to six SFMNP vouchers or choose to receive up to three CSA boxes. These vouchers are redeemable at authorized markets during specific dates, ensuring that our seniors can enjoy healthy food options. We strive to offer this cherished service while adapting to funding availability, and distribution typically begins on February 1st each year, though dates may adjust depending on local agricultural cycles.
