Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME)

At the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing in Sun City West, AZ, our Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME) Program is designed to empower individuals living with diabetes by providing essential management skills tailored to their needs. This accredited five-week program offers comprehensive education on vital topics such as healthy eating, active living, medication management, and risk reduction, all aimed at enhancing participants' confidence and ability to prevent diabetes-related complications. Our knowledgeable educators guide participants through an engaging learning experience that encourages problem-solving and healthy coping strategies. Covered by Medicare and most insurance plans, joining our DSME program requires a physician referral and completed paperwork submitted five business days before class starts.
