Pima Meals on Wheels, located in Sahuarita, AZ, is dedicated to serving homebound seniors and their spouses by delivering nutritious meals directly to their homes. Our program focuses on providing one-third of daily nutritional needs through carefully prepared meals that emphasize low-fat, low-sodium, low-sugar, and high-fiber options, ensuring a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and diverse entrees. To access our meal delivery service, individuals can begin with an eligibility screening, after which a local agency will conduct an in-home evaluation to explain how the program works. While we request a donation of $2.00 per meal, we ensure that no one is turned away due to financial constraints. Participants are expected to be home at the time of delivery or to coordinate with the program manager in advance.
