Arizona Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Cash Assistance (CA)

In Safford, Arizona, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Cash Assistance (CA) program is dedicated to uplifting the state’s most vulnerable families by providing essential temporary cash benefits and a range of supportive services. Our mission is to ensure that children and their families can meet their basic needs for safety and well-being as they work towards self-sufficiency. We facilitate access to our services through an easy online application center, as well as by mail or fax to the nearest Department of Economic Security office. During the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19, we have adapted our processes to better serve the community, temporarily suspending work requirements for both Nutrition and Cash Assistance recipients while maintaining our commitment to assistance via online and telephone support. Although our offices are currently closed to the public, we remain steadfast in our dedication to providing vital support to Arizona's families in need.
