Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

The Senior Farmers Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Peoria, AZ, is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of low-income seniors by providing access to fresh, nutritious foods. Through our annual program, eligible seniors receive SFMNP vouchers that can be utilized for locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs at authorized farmers markets and roadside stands. Additionally, we offer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes as an alternative. Each year, qualifying participants may obtain a booklet containing up to six vouchers or up to three CSA boxes, depending on funding availability. Voucher distributions typically begin on February 1st, but please be aware that dates may vary with seasons and local product availability. Our mission is to empower seniors in Arizona to enjoy healthy eating while supporting local agriculture.
