Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME)

At the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing in Peoria, AZ, we are dedicated to empowering individuals through our accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME) Program, recognized by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. This comprehensive five-week course equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to actively manage their diabetes and prevent complications. Through engaging sessions, we cover critical topics such as understanding diabetes, adopting healthy eating habits, increasing physical activity, effective monitoring, medication management, problem-solving techniques, and healthy coping strategies. Our DSME program is accessible to many, as it is covered by Medicare and most insurances, with a physician referral required to enroll.
