Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME)

Located in El Mirage, AZ, the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing proudly offers a comprehensive Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training (DSME) Program accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. This transformative five-week series equips participants with essential skills to manage diabetes effectively and prevent complications. Our curriculum covers vital topics including an introduction to diabetes, healthy eating, physical activity, monitoring techniques, medication management, problem-solving strategies, healthy coping mechanisms, and risk reduction. Designed to support individuals in taking greater control of their health, our program is accessible through Medicare and most insurance plans, with a physician referral required for registration.
