Nutrition Services

Nutrition Services, part of the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG), is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of seniors across DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, and Marshall counties in Scottsboro, AL. We provide essential food assistance through our programs, offering hot, nutritious meals that meet at least one-third of the daily-recommended dietary allowances for older adults. Our home-delivered meal service ensures that those who may face mobility challenges still receive the nourishment they need. While we welcome contributions from senior participants, we believe that no one should go without food due to financial constraints, which is why we maintain a policy of serving all seniors regardless of their ability to pay, with a suggested minimum donation of just $1.25 per meal. Our mission is to support our seniors with practical and healthy food options, fostering a community where everyone can thrive.
