Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

The Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in Robertsdale, AL, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income seniors, aged 60 and older, by providing essential food assistance through coupons. Administered by the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries' Farmers Market Authority Section, this program allows seniors to access fresh, nutritious food including fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs directly from local farmers at approved farmers markets and roadside stands. Once approved, participants receive food vouchers by mail, which must be used by November 15 of the calendar year.
