MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Northport, AL, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to ensure every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities is screened for obesity and connected to tailored weight management services that suit their individual needs and preferences. We offer a range of support options, including group sessions, personalized telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE!, which provides in-home messaging and clinician contact. Additionally, our MOVE! Coach mobile app is designed for Veterans who prefer to manage their weight independently. For those facing ongoing challenges with weight-related issues, we also provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery. Veterans interested in participating in MOVE! are encouraged to reach out to their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to begin their journey towards a healthier future.
