Kaila Mccarthy

Kaila McCarthy, M.S. LMFT, is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Alabama, along with a Master's in Human Sexuality Education with a clinical focus in Sex Therapy from Widener University, she is well-equipped to support her clients. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in Human Sexuality with a clinical focus on Sex Therapy at Widener University. Kaila's passion extends to aiding relationships, supporting survivors of sexual trauma, and providing affirming care for LGBTQA+ individuals and their relationships. With over four years of experience, she has worked with a diverse array of individuals, families, and children. Trained in Trauma Focused CBT, Kaila has effectively addressed the challenges faced by children and adolescents affected by abuse. Her specialized areas encompass trauma, as well as sexual and sexuality issues. She provides a safe and welcoming space for all members of the community, ensuring that each individual feels heard and accepted. Kaila collaborates closely with clients to set personalized treatment goals, empowering them to be the experts of their own lives as she offers guidance, support, and practical tools for personal growth and improved relationships.
