Family Assistance Program

Located in Killen, AL, the Family Assistance Program is dedicated to supporting low-income families with children by offering temporary cash assistance to meet their essential needs. We understand that life can present unexpected challenges, and our mission is to provide immediate financial help to families with children under 18, or 19 if they are full-time students in secondary or vocational training. By bridging the gap in critical situations, we strive to empower and uplift families in our community. To access our services, individuals must apply through the Department of Human Resources in their county, as we aim to make the process as straightforward as possible for those seeking assistance. Please note that adult recipients may access financial assistance for a total of five years within their lifetime.
