Judith Harrington sees each client as a valued team member in the counseling process, taking the time to learn from their unique narratives and collaboratively developing strategies to address their challenges. With a full-time practice spanning from 1988 to 2013, and part-time since then while serving as a lecturer in Counselor Education at the University of Montevallo, she embodies a dual identity as a critical thinker in academia and a reflective clinician. Judith considers it a profound privilege to accompany individuals on their journey of personal discovery, especially those who bravely engage in the counseling process. Her practice welcomes adults grappling with relationship difficulties, fears of harm from others or circumstances, and the sadness tied to past experiences or losses. She provides compassionate support for grief and loss, explores contextual relational dynamics, and assists individuals in recovering from trauma. Furthermore, Judith's practice is affirming for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation. She emphasizes the importance of context, development, and individual strengths. In addition to offering counseling to individuals, couples, and families, Judith has led various groups in the community and provides training and consultation services to agencies and organizations, focusing on vital topics such as clinical supervision and suicide prevention.
