The Selma Schimmel Vital Grant program serves the Bessemer, AL community by providing crucial financial assistance to individuals facing significant hardships due to chronic, terminal, or rare conditions such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and Huntington’s disease. Our mission is to alleviate some of the burdens associated with these illnesses by offering support for utility costs or grocery needs, ensuring that those affected can focus on their health without the added stress of financial uncertainty. Additionally, we collaborate with local organizations to connect our recipients with further assistance, reinforcing our commitment to providing holistic support during difficult times.
