Stephanie Staveland

Stephanie Staveland draws inspiration from her upbringing on the waters of Southeast Alaska, where her family engaged in both commercial and recreational fishing. Through experiences of navigating rough waters, she learned the value of finding refuge and security, ultimately shaping her approach to therapy. This journey led her to establish Refuge Cove Counseling, named in honor of her favorite beach in Ketchikan, Alaska. Her mission is to offer clients a safe harbor, a space where they can authentically and vulnerably express themselves. At Refuge Cove Counseling, clients can expect a warm, interactive therapy style, focusing on collaboration to create personalized treatment plans. Together, they will explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions, while cultivating new skills, techniques, and strategies for healthy coping. Stephanie is dedicated to walking alongside clients on their paths to healing and personal growth.
