Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

In Metlakatla, AK, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is dedicated to supporting the health and wellness of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to promote nutritious eating and healthy living through comprehensive services, including nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support. We also connect families with essential healthcare resources and provide free manual and electric breast pumps to ensure that mothers have the tools they need to nurture their children. At WIC, we empower families to thrive through informed choices and community support.
