Financial Assistance Funds

Guidance Medical is dedicated to supporting children with special health care needs and their families in King Cove, AK, by providing essential financial assistance. Our program offers funds that can be utilized for a variety of critical needs, including medical costs such as prescriptions, medical bills, and durable medical equipment, as well as non-medical expenses like home and vehicle modifications, clothing, and daily essentials. We also assist with healthcare utilization costs, covering travel to medical facilities, lodging for families during medical visits, and necessary transportation fees. Each family can receive grants of up to $500 per year, with requests exceeding this amount subject to Board approval. We review applications in the order they are received and strive to respond within 15 business days, making sure to meet families with urgent needs with care and compassion.
