At Chugachmiut in Kenai, AK, we are dedicated to providing vital general assistance to Alaska Natives and Native Americans residing in the Chugach Region, including Seward, Valdez, Port Graham, Nanwalek, Tatitlek, and Chenega. Our mission is to offer temporary aid for essential needs such as shelter, food, clothing, and utilities, ensuring that our community members can access the support they require. Local Community Health Representatives (CHR) are available to help clients navigate the application process and guarantee that all eligible individuals are informed about the program’s offerings. Additionally, our general assistance program collaborates closely with the Regional 477 Program Coordinator to facilitate career and training opportunities for those seeking to enhance their skills and improve their livelihoods.
