Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program in Kake, AK, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. By offering essential nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and robust breastfeeding promotion and support, WIC aims to enhance the well-being of families in our community. We also provide valuable referrals for health care services to ensure that every family has the assistance they need to thrive. Our mission is to empower families in Kake to make informed food choices that nurture their health and development.
