Adult Day Services

Located in Houston, AK, Adult Day Services by Mat-Su Senior Services is dedicated to enhancing the independence, security, and overall quality of life for seniors and eligible individuals in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. With a strong foundation of respect, trust, and compassion, our program offers a safe and nurturing environment tailored for frail adults and those living with Alzheimer’s Disease, related disorders, developmental disabilities, or brain injuries. Participants engage in a variety of structured social, recreational, and therapeutic activities designed to foster connection and well-being, while also providing valuable support and respite for caregivers. Each participant undergoes an assessment by an ADS nurse to ensure the program fits their unique needs, followed by the creation of a personalized Plan of Service that includes socialization, exercise, health monitoring, and nutrition activities. Our dedicated staff is complemented by generous volunteers who provide essential one-on-one attention and enrich our events. Participation fees are based on a sliding scale to accommodate varying abilities to pay, and transportation may be available for those within our service area. Referrals are welcomed from families, professionals, and community organizations, making it easier for individuals to access critical support and resources.
