Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program

The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program, located in Eielson Afb, AK, is dedicated to supporting individuals newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, year-long initiative. This free program, available in both English and Spanish, provides essential resources tailored to empower participants in their diabetes management journey. Along with six informative e-booklets designed to address various aspects of diabetes care, enrollees receive a monthly e-newsletter filled with practical tips and local community event information. Participants also benefit from a Healthy Living newsletter, and those who provide their phone numbers are invited to the monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series. This interactive platform allows participants to connect with ADA experts, ask questions about their condition, explore the relationship between diabetes and heart health, and access valuable giveaways aimed at enhancing their well-being. Our mission is to foster informed and healthier lifestyles for those living with type 2 diabetes.
