In Douglas, Alaska, the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) plays a vital role in supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years of age. Our mission focuses on promoting healthy food habits through essential services such as nutrition education, access to nutritious foods, breastfeeding education and support, and referrals to additional services that families may need.
