Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)

In Akiachak, Alaska, the Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program is dedicated to fostering healthy eating and nutrition for low-income families. We focus on supporting pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old, by providing essential services that include nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to healthcare services. Our mission is to equip families with the knowledge and resources necessary for nurturing healthy lifestyles and well-being during critical early life stages.
