What is the best way to help yourself?
I like to try to get to the source of my issues. Too often we focus on symptoms and want to "fix" those. But we are hesitant to look too deeply. When we do, though, we can work towards real change.
Your thoughts?

Hi! Hm, this is an interesting question!
On one hand I completely agree - having been to therapy for years I've uncovered a lot of stuff I didn't really know existed. It's amazing how much you can learn about yourself in therapy - not just your symptoms but some of the lifelong rules and beliefs you may have had or everything in between!
On the other hand though I do think it's dependent on the issue. In things like trauma it can be helpful to 'get deep', but sometimes it may not be necessary - like say a person with a little bit of low self-esteem.
Andidepressants are not a cure. They help you to deal with life's problems without becoming suicidal or majorly depressed all the time. A person often needs to take these medications for the rest of their life. Assignment service
