Welcome New Listeners! What I wish someone told me
Don't be afraid to take a chat request, but you may find it most useful to learn to navigate the site as well as practice for your first chats. Going to path then training provides you with many (and past) training courses. The listener supports guides master list is also super handy - https://www.7cups.com/forum/ListenerLearningJourney_149/ListenerSupportGuidesMockChatTranscripts_1850/ListenerSupportGuidesMasterList_228279/1/. For support, you can check out the Listener Support Guides Master List, the listeners group chat which you'll find in my chats then group chats, or reach out to an active online listener that is happy to train/listen to other listeners. I found that my first few chats were the most difficult. I felt like I was doing it wrong or not enough and it felt awkward. You'll find your groove, I promise! Also, simply being there and focusing and listening to that one person is often all you need!
Noni told me to post so here I am! I wish someone said this to me
Hello
@AlextheApfel
Great idea for a post! I wish someone had told me about the note section and how to utilize copy and paste :) Also, I have a couple of links that I refer to constantly and I wish everybody would have right away. I'm attaching them here :)
