I am struggling with anxiety

unassumingOwl4259 October 20th

Hello everyone.  Here because I'm badly struggling with anxiety, automatic negative thoughts and catastrophizing.

I have so much stress in my life.  I'm panicking because I have two boys with severe autism who will likely need me to provide for them both for the rest of their lives.  We are struggling financially. My credit rating is taking a hit.  The good news is things may improve soon.

My credit rating is freaking me out because in about three years I will need to refinance my mortgage if we are to stay in our house.  If we can't refinance we have to sell.

That means we lose the house I was counting to take care of my boys when I am gone.  I also fear it will wreck my marriage.

Things *should* improve soon, but if they don't I am so worried about dying and leaving my boys, who by then will be old, all alone and no way to take care of them.

I have these freakouts, about one thing or another, every month or so.

Is there any relief?

Your concerns about your credit rating and the impact on your home and family are valid, and it’s okay to feel anxious about those things. It’s also important to recognize that you’re doing your best in a really challenging situation. Have you considered talking to someone who can help you with financial planning or support services for your boys? It might be a small step, but sometimes just having a plan can ease some of that anxiety. You’re not alone in this, and finding a support network can make a big difference.
