Hi everyone! I'm pretty excited.
I have started just last night and I must say that I am very happy that have. I did know that this is something I would enjoy but had no idea I was going to enjoy it this much.
I'm still learning how everything works as I didn't know the website at all and I have noticed that you can have training for specific things. I was very impressed when I found out how much you can learn here. The badges are a very fun thing.
I have explored the Listeners Hangout Chatroom a little which is very useful to know about in case I have queries.
Can I ask everyone for some tips as I still don't understand some things. Can we follow both Listeners and Members? What do we get by hearting replies from members/listeners? What do we get by them hearting ours? And if you can think of anything else I should be aware of, please let me know.

Yup! You can follow anyone's feed, listener, member, teen, adult--it's open for everyone :)
What do we get by hearting replies from members/listeners?
You don't get anything yourself, but you do give them "compassion hearts" (and maybe a nice feeling inside 😊)
What do we get by them hearting ours?
That's when it's your turn to get compassion hearts! I think there's some badge(s) related to how many you get in a certain timeframe, but mostly it's just a way to see how much people like and appreciate what you say
And if you can think of anything else I should be aware of, please let me know.
I think I would say don't be afraid to mute/report people if you see someone being hurtful to others/breaking any guidelines (that's what helps keep the site safe and positive!), don't be afraid to join in something even if it seems like there's a set "group" going on (you're always welcome to join in anything!), and don't forget to give yourself a break when you need to, you're only human and you matter too :)
