Just joined here, trying to get the feel of it. I suffer from Depression, Anxiety, and ADD. Also going through a lot in my personal and work life and everything seems so overwhelming. I'm already on medication but I'm trying to find other ways of dealing with it all.

Hi! Welcome to 7 cups. :) How has your experience been so far? Anxiety, depression and ADD can be very difficult to manage on their own but having them all together seems like a lot to deal with. You also mentioned other life problems you are going through, no wonder you are overwhelmed. Did you get to chat with any of the listeners here? You can always browse through the listeners here and in the meantime, you can also explore group support chats. I am glad you found this forum option and shared how you feel. I hope you get the support you are looking for.

What are some of the ways you are currently coping with your situation? Are there any recurrent problems you are facing ?

Currently coping in not so great ways that I don’t really want want to share yet… but its a lot. Currently going through a divorce, I lost 3 friends at the same time and then another one 2 weeks ago… and my job is just mentally and physically demanding and stressful. I’m looking for better ways of coping. I’m trying to get back into journaling and reading. I’m also trying to find a way to start swimming again because that use to help when I would get stressed out but it’s difficult getting alone time being a single mom with 2 kids.

Going through a divorce must be so mentally taxing on its own. And you mentioned you lost 3 friends plus one more few weeks ago. You know, I can only imagine how that must be like for you. I guess you know best how things are for you right now. Relationships, whether romantic or friendships, are like cords attached to us. When they break, we feel dis balanced and have to learn to support ourselves again. It isn't something we can visibly see or show anyone, but we can surely feel it.

You are surely going through this supporting yourself again and managing everything with 2 kids on your own. No wonder it is so overwhelming. And I can understand the situation with having a job, we can't really take breaks there for long. It is impressive how you are handling all of this on your own.

Journaling, reading and swimming are all great options. In fact, you have chosen both mentally reflective and physical option like swimming. Both are really great to let out some of that stress. I hope it helps you to feel a bit better.
