Hello! If you are new here and unsure about this website, your financial situation or anything else, don't worry! I have found great listeners and great help with my anxiety from this website, all for free! I signed up to this website last year I think, and then I messaged a few people and talked, and then I left for a few months, but now I am back and I am so happy I am! During summer, I have this 10 week long vaccation from school, and that means I have no school counselor to talk to, so during an anxiety attack I thought "hey, 7cups had great exercises for anxiety and stuff, right?" so I logged back in and immedietly found a listener who totally got me and I felt so welcome and accepted. Maybe you are as lucky as I am? Or maybe you have to talk to a few people before you find the right one, and when you do I hope you feel as relieved as I do. If you have a listener who you feel don't work for you, don't be scared to tell them. They only want to help, and if you feel they cannot help you, then tell them. This is a safe space for you. Welcome!

Aww, Im so glad this website has helped you! And what you said was true- if you dont feel comfortable with a listener, you dont have to stick with them! Why stick with someone who you dont feel connected to or cant give you the support you want? Try to tell them that you dont think both of you are a good fit, and then try to find someone else, or ask them how to do so. Listeners are all volunteers here, and we do only want to help.
