Came in a Guest, Left a Listener
I came to 7 Cups seeking advice for a awkward situation and didn't have anyone in my everyday life that I felt comfortable talking to.
They whole system of communication here was great and the listener I had was so great to me and really helped me figure out how to cope with my sitaution.
After I got away from the computer long enough to manage my situation and finally get some closure, I could not believe how much better I felt.
That is when I decided that I wanted to do what that listener did for me and now I'm here.
Just being a listener for a few hours has felt so rewarding and I am so happy to be on this site. <3

@Aeowen -- I originally found this site as a guest, as well (and sometimes still need help from the guest/member side of things!) :) It's really been awesome and rewarding to 'pay it forward' as a listener, and I've found it's starting to help me in my own situations and life in a way, too.
I'm still a bit of a newbie here, but I want to welcome you to 7 Cups and let you know that, just by reading your post, I can tell you will make a fantastic and compassionate listener for those in need. Take good care and I hope the site continues to be a wonderful place for you!

How do i become a listener? I love to help people and i have the time to do this. I believe i would be a good listener as i never judge and am v open minded

Thank you i have now completed the training. However, i have the app downloaded on my phone and it seems i am a guest here not a listener do you know if i can be a listener through the app or do i have to go onto the website?

If not, I would guess you can only be a listener from the site or you could message tech support to see if it is a problem with your app in particular.

I remember the first time coming as a guest, I had a bad breakup and was self harming, After talking to the listener and hearing the amazing words he had to say, I realized that I wanted to do the same not for me rather because giving a kind word and listening was the best tool I had. :) So I decided to become and listener and there is not one day that I look back and regret it. :)
