Welcome Committee: October 2024 Announcements!
Hello Awesome Pawesome Welcome Committee Team,
I hope you’re all doing awesome pawesome! I wanted to take a quick moment to acknowledge the incredible work that each one of you has been doing for the Welcome Committee. Your efforts have made a significant impact on helping new members feel comfortable and engaged within our lovely and wholesome community, and I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication that this team consistently shows.
As we and our team continues to grow its important to evolve our processes within the Welcome Committe to better serve our wholesome community, by doing this it makes the whole welcoming process easier for all of us. With what in mind, there are a few important updates to our member welcoming process that simplifies things up and keep everything runnning smoothly. Please take a moment to go through the details below and if you have any questions or feedback please let me know by leaving me a pm <3.

1. The Member Welcome Pack has served us well over the years, however,
it's a bit long and can be difficult for members to ingest.
One of
our Ambassadors created a fantastic guide that presents an overview of
our platform and includes the most commonly requested information: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M53Nm5-pbtxx2_jKfXYgYzo3NgXxjNfMwfzVSRC1rZg/edit?usp=sharing
It's
a quick, easy, straightforward, and visually friendly read with links
to all the appropriate areas. I’d like to ask everyone to please switch
to distributing this guide. I have updated our docs to link it but if
you need the old Welcome Pack still linked let me know!
2. Also,
you don’t have to note it on the tracking sheets whenever you share it
because we must always be sharing this resource with every member we
welcome.
3. Item Removed or Not Found: And one last thing
regarding logging: whenever you get a page that says “Item Removed/Not
Found” the member’s account is inactive. You may see this when you first
PM or when you go to follow-up. There’s a selection for this to
document it on either of the columns: “What response did you get after
the first message?” or “Did they reply?”
Once the member's account goes inactive, you don't need to check back in and can leave the rest of the columns blank.
