I'm not sure what Step 12 requires you to accomplish, but if you are stuck on any step of the Growth Path, there should be the option to "Try Something Else," which allows you to choose a different task to complete.

Try something else I tried and only it brings up the same thing. I'm stuck on for numer 55.

The 'Try Something Else' won't automatically bring up a new activity, it will open up a menu of three or four other options for you to choose from. The menu is labeled Activities and will appear in the upper left column, above the list of your private conversations, of the My Path page.
