New and scared

anxiousFirefly777 November 10th

I’m deep in my first depressive episode in years. I have an aversion to in person therapy due to some trauma so I figured I’d try this approach. I hope it helps because I’m feeling prettt hopeless right now.

@anxiousFirefly777 We are glad you are here to try and seek help. Anxiety can be a very scary thing to try to navigate. Those are feelings that leave you uneasy and questioning everything. That is challenging. You are not alone.

I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way right now, but I want you to know that reaching out is a huge step, and you’re not alone in this. It takes a lot of courage to open up, even in a space like this. Even when things feel overwhelming and hopeless, the fact that you’re still seeking support shows strength. Healing can take time, but it’s absolutely possible, and you don’t have to do it all at once.

It might not feel like it now, but there are ways forward, even if they’re small, and sometimes, just knowing that someone else is there to listen—without judgment—can make a difference. If you’re comfortable, we can take it slow and talk through what you’re feeling right now, or we can just sit with it together. Whatever feels best for you.

You deserve to feel relief and happiness again, and I believe that will come, even if it takes time. You’re doing better than you think by being here.
