contact and identity sharing
isn't its good to share the personal information if its not misused??through this person suffering from lonliness ,who dont have close friends can get close to the new friends. And its true to share our feeling to new friends on internet...
To better answer your question I thought I'd find exactly what is says on this in the Listener FAQ.
"Under no circumstance should a listener be sharing personal information or social media. General information such as the country you live in, your name, and age can be given based on your own preference, but information or social media accounts that would allow members/guests or listeners to connect with you offsite arenot allowed."
I'm not sure exactly which kind of personal information you're referring to in your question. If you're talking about your name, age, general location, etc - it can be okay to give out that kind of information if you're comfortable.
However, providing social media details oradditional channels such as kik or whatsapp to contact you on is not acceptable. I can think of several reasons for this. Unfortunately, even if someone appears completely genuine for a considerable period of time, there is still the possibility for the information to be misused at a later point, therefore it's wise not to share that kind of information. Secondly, if one listener shares their contact information with a member, it sets up unreasonable expectation for other listeners to do the same - this is unfair on the majority of listeners who are not willing to share this kind of information. Finally, as soon as you provide social media information you open yourself up to contact outside the times you want to listen on 7 cups. While that may not seem like an immediate problem to you, it creates the added pressure of you being expected to be a listener at any time the member chooses or needs you.
oh its true.....it might result distruction if the information is misused....sory and thanks
No problems :)
I think its ok and in fact a good idea to share your first name so that you can be more of a friend figure to members than a listener.
