How long do you leave someone if they are unresponsive?

Many of the chats which I open have no responses, I usually send a m,eaasge to remind them that I will close the chat If they do not respond and ask them if I am happy to do so. Does this happen to nayone else?

It happens. Usually I give them ten minutes or so and then say something like "It looks like you went offline, so I am going to close the chat, but you are welcome back any time!"

I give it 10 minutes. Sometimes they show back up. But typically after 10 minutes, they don't.
