I think this applies to all of us because it shows us that we suffer a lot in our lives, everyone will suffer at one point. I think suffering helps us in many ways. It helps us learn!

That is indeed quite profound, and something similar to I read in a book recently about suffering being inevitable for everyone, and also that without any suffering life wouldn't be feel as meaningful.
