victims compensation UK
Hi everyone, as a child I was sexually assaulted and it wasn't until years later that the man was charged, thankfully he is now rotting away in jail for the next 20+ years. I applied for victims compensation to the government as I was told by the police officers on my case that it was my right. It feels like I applied a long time ago now, I understand that the case has to go to court? So it may take a while. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experiencing with the criminal injuries bureau.
I dont have a lot of info on this type of thing but it maybe helpful to check with a lawyer. I mean if you have a question about the law and the people who work there are ignoring you, maybe you can find a lawyer who can speed up your case. Good luck :)
