I still have physical pain. It's causing me so much distress. Sorry to post twice in the same day.

@MissyAmerica Hey you will get through it. what is something simple that you can do right now to take your mind off it?

There was a time I was in so much pain that I just laid on the floor listening to music and only dancing with my fingers and singing along. It was the Sylvan Esso album

@Samerina I enjoy music to relax me but there seem to be times where I'm not distractable. That's probably crazy sounding.

@MissyAmerica never crazy. I understand those times when the thing gets too hard to ignore.

Hi missy, good to hear from you. What kind of pain do you have? Is it unbearable and if so can you treat it?

As we're not professionals here the best thing to do if you get worse or can't cope is to go back to the doctor. Otherwise if it's just causing a bit of discomfort then do everything you can to ease the pain. There anyone who can help you?

I know you may feel distressed right now but please seek medical help if needed be. I'm sorry if I don't know how to help but if ever need support we are here.

@TreaureSeekers3 I think maybe its in my head. I'm not certain. I feel pain memories. Does that make any sense?

@MissyAmerica painful memories? now those are different than physical pain. If you feel you've endured all the pain you can in that moment, then it's time for a new thought.

what is ANY thought you can think of that makes you feel even just LITTLE better? Think about that.

Next, pick another thought that makes you feel a LITTLE bit better than the previous thought. Think on that for a while.

Keep going to the next one. if you can't, just stay with the same thought for a while.

The point here is to FEEL better. and you will if you take little step thoughts to get there.

@Samerina physically. Like I'm reliving the physical feelings of what happened. I'm probably not making sense. Sorry I am not good at what you wrote. I am crazy. I spaced out and woke in my storage room under blankets and idk what happened except I'm assuming I got scared. I'm sorry ugh I'm not sure I should talk anymore. I'm not helpable but I appreciate everyone.

@MissyAmerica

Sorry to pop out of nowhere but I thought I could help explain a bit about it (about the memories=physical pain), if it's ok?

I was sexually assaulted and was in very abusive and toxic relationships. With the trauma I also relieve alot, is basically flashbacks. I'm guessing is this what you mean?

My flashbacks are VERY realistic. I feel the exact same pain and I even can smell the exact same scents...

The best way I could describe why ,is that when something very strong (good or bad) happens to us, our brains are quick to aknowledge it.

Also our minds are very strong. For example if you think constantly that you have a fever your body will actually have one. The mind power is really powerfull and creepy... well this said, if it's something constant in your mind , it might be why you experience it so realistically. This saying that your physical pain is indeed real. Is something constant and familar to your brain you know?

I hope I helped a little bit here. I wish you the best of luck. I'm very sorry for what you went through but remember, you always will be welcomed here and given much love heart

Sorry to hear that. In what way do you feel pain inside you? Is it something linked to a past experience. Can you explain more? I understand that it can be a mental thing. Have you tried letting your pain go by doing meditation?

@TreaureSeekers3 I read something about ptsd from sexual assault and they call it body memories. Its so embarrassing. I tried meditation. a few styles. I keep going crazy into flashbacks so I am not sure that is the right thing for me at this time. I've been trying to just distract myself as much as possible. Ty for talking with me. It is very isolating having bad memories in my head.

@MissyAmerica it's v hard going through what you are, hang in there.. can u maybe have something simple like a warm or icy cold drink.. and just concentrate on the flavors and textures of the drink .. or do u have play dough or something like that u can just mould .. I dunno if I'm making any sense or if this will help u.
